Essentially I want to connect sculptural bits to a painting on canvas. If someone bumps into a piece of art with the bolts sunk into the canvas it'll tear. What I want to do is attach the sculputural pieces to bolts, which are then held up by neodymium magnets, so if bumped the sculpture will just pop off and not rip anything. Ideally I want the sculptural bits to be anyways from 0.5" to 1.5" away from the canvas and appear to be floating (hence the bolts).Any suggestions? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2GTCbaN
