Basically, as the title says, I graduate in June and there are many, many things I have to consider. I haven’t lived at home since I was 16 and I am now 24 but I never learned good habits with spending, budgeting, saving and planning. As a result, my credit score is garbage, I have literally no savings, a crap ton of debt, and a very scared outlook on my future to the point of worsening depression. Is it the mental health talking or am I actually just that screwed?

I’ve never moved out of the city I grew up in but was offered a potential opportunity to do so if it seems like a good idea— Here is the info I have:

I have a wide variety of skills and I am very charismatic with a well-developed resume so actually obtaining a job itself isn’t as much of a concern for me— however, I don’t know if I should have absolutely locked a job down before I move— Unable to interview places in person unless I am living there.

I’ve been offered a 100% free place to live for 3-4 months in Seattle, WA, with relatives while I get settled in the area.

How much does moving really cost? It would be a 5-6 hour drive. I also can’t have all of my furniture in the guest room— Should I pay to keep my furniture in storage for later or sell it?

56,000 in college debt— this is combined subsidized and unsubsidized loans.

Credit score is in the mid-400 range. I know I need to get this up, what do I need to do? How long does it typically take?

2300 in credit card debt from 3 lenders that is now in collections with the exception of one which I have made payment arrangements for.

Current lease that ends in August which means that I either move to WA, or find a new place to live by the 31st of August.

Car will most likely stop working in the next year Are there reasonable options for people with poor credit? How much should I save for a decent car that will run well, nothing fancy just to reliably take me from A-B?

$0 in savings. I currently make around $10-14 an hour as a nanny/babysitter and work is sporadic based on demand so I pull in anywhere from $400-1300 a month.

This amount will increase over the summer months where I will be working full time at 12/hour. I will also receive $2300 at the end of June for the months of July and August since I will be taking my residual courses online and receiving financial aid for those.

I don’t have any investments, savings, or noteworthy assets. I know that I will need a reliable car in the next year or two. I currently have an old beater car and a bicycle.

Please let me know via PM if more info is required to help me figure out this dilemma or if you have any additional advice or suggestions for moving forward.

TL;DR What do I need to prioritize in order to get my finances in order? What do I focus on? How can I maximize my strategy to pave the way for a better future?
