So I have a 78x30 piece of 7 ply birch plywood that I am making a desktop however im stuck on a finish for it.Whatever the choice is, I want the desktop to be a nice smooth surface. I was considering things like automotive paint or like black lacquer, or even just staining with a clear coat of something sanded down but I am unsure. What do you guys think would be easiest to create a nice smooth, maybe shiny surface for this desk? Either way i know I'll be doing a bit of sanding but which is easiest? automotive paint I know ill need a spray gun, same for lacquer (unless i use rustoleum spray can lacquer, but is it any good?).And I would probably need to seal the wood prior to this anyway, right?as you can see im pretty new to this so any advice is helpful! Please and thanks! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2vvd09O
