Not a boring magazine article.. Average folks like us. Housewives, hard working ladies and gents.. What do you do around your home to save money?? Give your tips and ideas. I am a housewife, have been for 27 years. Debt free. And we got there by being VERY careful with our money (and we are NOT upper class by a long shot!!) I will even go so far as to tell you, my husband made under 80,000 last year (we are a fam of 5)
I make my own cleaners and detergents. Grow (or hunt) most of our food. I can, freeze, dry garden goods for use later. Of course I do things like save the ham bone for soup:) We have 2 old, old cars that we use everyday (taxes and insurance is cheaper) and one newer car that we use for longer trips. My husband is a mechanic, so we save there.. What do you 'average Joes' do?? Share your tricks...
