I currently work for the city(blue collar) I make 26.64 an hour 38hours a week but this only lasts 7 months of the year. I then get laid off and go on employment insurance for 5months of the year! (That clears about 460 a week)
There is room for advanced but it is based on seniority so that takes time. The expected time for me to become permanent is in 8-12 years.
Should I quit my job do a trade (refrigeration) and climb the ropes there instead? *trade duration is 16months *starting salary is about 20$ out of school *80k a year after 9000hours and certification
Please help im stuck Also if it helps my current job isn't rewarding to the soul which is making me even more bias to leave
