I'm wanting a super bright (1000+ lumens) flashlight, small enough to fit in a pocket. Ideally running off a single AA battery But I've had some rotten luck with flashlights I've bought in the last few years; broken switches, poor craftsmanship, lack of reliability, etc. I don't need a lot of "modes" (strobe, sos, dim, medium) just a simple, reliable, (but very bright) light to use at work.
I don't really expect a miracle, I'm willing to trade off a little brightness for durability, Same for batteries, my last one ran on 3 AAAs until it just quit altogether for no discernable reason. But we try to buy AA products whenever possible so we don't have to keep more batteries.
Whaddya got?
