So the other day I was searching for a very specific, discontinued messenger bag by Chrome Industries and couldn't seem to find it anywhere. Through a google search I came across www.competitivecyclist.com, which offered me both a 15% discount and a $10 credit if i recommended a friend.
The only other place I could find the bag was on www.backcountry.com --and oddly enough, they had the exact same number of the bag in stock (1 left), and the same color (brown). Suspicions were raised.
Anyhow on backcountry I couldn't get the discount...So I go back to competitive cyclist and take advantage of the discount.
A few days later, I get the customary spam from competitive cyclist and decide to unsubscribe. Where does the unsubscribe link take me? "loyalty.backcountry.com" Ha! Suspicions confirmed!
So maybe you guys already knew this, but I was pretty amazed that I could buy the exact same thing, from (effectively) the same people, at a significant discount. I hope you find it helpful!
