In my town, Charter (unfortunately the only option) has a promotion where the first year of internet service is $30/month when you start an account for the first time. My significant other and I were able to squeeze 2 years of that out by doing one year under my name and one year under her name. After the promotion the rate spikes to $60/month for just interment, because they’re the devil. Well my wife and I recently just got married, so since she has a new name we are switching the account back over to her for one final year of the promotional rate.
