Hi all,I'm new to these types of projects, but I'm building my own custom desks and cabinets for a new home office. I'm hoping to get some advice on the cabinets/bookshelves I have planned.Plans and renderAs you can see above, the cabinets will be 56" by 42.25" by 15.5", and I'm planning on making the outside of 3/4" plywood, and the inside shelves/dividers of 1/2" plywood. I want to keep it somewhat flexible, so I'm thinking of using 1/4" dados into the 3/4" plywood, and 1/8" dados into the 1/2" plywood. The idea is that the two horizontal shelves will be affixed with pocket screws to the side panels, while the horizontal dividers (3 per shelf) will just slide in/out using the dados. I imagine I should always have at least the center divider OR the two outside dividers in there per shelf, to not have the horizontal shelf sag too much. Curious what your thoughts are on this.I also am thinking about how to mount this. As you can see in the render, the cabinets will be hung fairly high (ceiling is 10'). Also looking for some advice here. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2Hd9GBm
