So I just moved into a new apartment and assumed mounting my tv would be reasonably simple, as it has always been before. I'm on the 29th floor of a 39 story hotel/condo building, and figured I would need concrete anchors as that seemed like the most likely structural material at this height.Lo and behold, I drill into the wall to find very thick drywall (more than an inch I think, after removing an outlet faceplate) and empty space behind. What the hell? Surely they didn't use wood studs at this height. I have a magnetic stud finder on the way, but whats the most likely scenario here? I'm very much out of my depth, as high rise life is new to me. Can I just use drywall anchors given it's thickness? For reference, the TV is a newish 65" Samsung LED and the mount is a slim wire hanging type, with only two anchor points on the wall. Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2I5b8a1
