i need unlimited data WiFi because i WFH often but haven't been able to do anything to escape the deathly stranglehold of centurylink/cox and their idiotic rates. currently pay $45 /month just for internet (unlimited data, throttled speeds after data limit) after doing the usual calling-to cancel-switching etc stuff. i've obviously asked about bundling (i don't want or need cable or phone) and have been through the tortuous process of calling customer service several times and navigating their shit system. Is there anyway i can get cheaper internet? What's the lowdown on freedompop/hotspots/googlefi? $45/month is NOT a great rate because last year i was paying about half that and they raised it on me for no reason, arbitrarily. Basically, can i get unlimited data (low speeds is ok) for less?
