I made a hole in the drywall when I was looking at running some cables through the wall. I cut a similar sized square in the vapour barrier. I no longer need the hole (gah) and so need to put-right.I'm happy enough to repair the hole in the drywall using a square of plasterboard, fixing and plastering over, but what's the best way to sort the vapour barrier?Have read varying opinions: * No drama as area of vapour barrier more important * New piece of vapour barrier, then use some sealant and then go over with tape * Tape over the gapMy concern with number 1 is the hole is in an airing cupboard with the boiler, and so typically warm. Think if was normal room would be less concerned, and just seal up the drywall.Number two - it's a 7cm x 7cm sized hole and the smallest vapour barrier I can find comes in 20sqm etc. which is slightly off-putting. If absolutely necessary then..I think the third option appeals - but what tape to use? Duck tape? Or something like this: https://ift.tt/2GYUvwF heard Tyvek or Tuck tape mentioned but cannot find anything like this in the UK.Many thanks for any advice! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2E9TXAS
