Im interested in what way lifestyle creep (spending more and more once your income rises) has happened to other people who have become rich.
For me the only real difference is transportation and in some cases accommodation. Im constantly traveling, so some years ago I usually stayed at 80 USD / night places, now I stay at 150 USD / night places or Airbnbs like that.
Some years ago I tried to get most bang for my buck when choosing transportation and now I just buy whatever is most convenient and use services like Uber a lot and without thinking about money. I still keep flying economy class which a lot of my friends think is weird but I just cant justify paying double to just sit a bit more comfortable for a few hours.
In terms of physical goods Im a firm believer in the one bag philosophy so more or less all I need for my life fits in a 40L backpack. I do have the best tech available on the market in every area that matters for me but it is all small and lightweight so getting the best tech gadgets once a year or in some cases every two years is my only guilty pleasure.
How did more money change your lifestyle?
