Does anyone have experience replacing shock cord in a nylon jacket? I have a North Face Mountain Light jacket from 2006ish that’s still going strong, but the elastic in all the shock cords has bit the dust.
I’m thinking it’s going to be easiest to make surgical-like incisions bear where the cord is sewn into the jacket, cut the current cord, remove, then thread new cord back to that point, then sew the heck out of the new cord, and close the hole with maybe Silnet?
Sure, it sounds like a lot of work, but I like this jacket, and like I said, it’s great otherwise.
