I have 2000 sqft of glued down hardwood/engineered flooring to remove. In my research, I have found two options that seem best. The first is renting something like this floor stripping machine Or potentially the ride on version as most of the flooring is more open spaces. The second option is buying a large floor scraper blade with an SDS Hammer DrillI'm looking for two points of advice. As a DIY'r, which option would you think would be better and effectively removing the floor and leaving a nice concrete subfloor for the new installation? This year I developed a back issue. This is going to be harder than when I removed my floor from my last house - but I take great pride in my house work that I need to try. So I am also trying to think about what I will actually be able to do for several hours a day. The first option looks promising, but I don't know how good they are at removing glued floors. And I might have to buy the floorscraper and hammer anyhow to get the awkward parts. Thanks Guys/Gals via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2C78il4
