There's no existing electrical box, just wires sticking out of the house from the wall (long story but previous owner(s) apparently knew even less than I do about this stuff than I do so I've been trying to fix a bunch of stupid/dangerous things...). Last year I rented a hammer drill to put up some house numbers, but I have no idea what to do here. Was hoping I could find a square mounting block with an electrical box that I could affix to the surface to hold everything but I can't find any that'd work--most are made for siding anyway. What's my best option here? Do I need to cut out the wall and put in a junction box? Not sure I'm capable of invasive stuff like this without causing more problems, I'd prefer a simpler solution. If anyone can provide some guidance and specific products to look into I'd really appreciate it--Google and YouTube have been poor resources thus far. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2GXpfxz
