Imgur album of examples: http://ift.tt/2shn44V (I think the blue one is actually a little too textured tbh. My favs are the 1st, 3rd, and last image)I love the way the walls in these photos look (I know they're not all necessarily the same technique). They look sophisticated and much more interesting than solid color walls, and it seems like a nice way to have darker walls without being too bold. I'd love to DIY this if possible but I have no idea where to start. Even had a local painter come out and he was stumped. He suggested maybe faux Venetian plaster, but after researching it I'm not sure that's the way to go?I don't want it to look just like a wall that was boringly "sponged". I've done that before and it doesn't look anything like these photos. I have spent hours googling various designer blogs but it was hard enough finding these photos, let alone a tutorial about this specific painting style. So any ideas would be very helpful.Other info (in case it's helpful): this would be painted onto drywall that has already been painted with a light grey matte paint. Goal is to have a somewhat dark vibe in the room. Preferred Color options: Slate, dark grey, medium to dark Grey-ish blue, etc. Room is going to be in an industrial-modern/rustic vibe, with an exposed black steel beam, stone fireplace, and reclaimed barnwood/metal furniture. Room size: 18' x 30'. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2EbCTeQ
