I have a doors with door handles that do not work. Both of them connect to my bedroom, and if the doors are closed all the way then I have to climb out the windows to leave my room. On one door neither handle will move the latch on the door. Here is the door handle stripped down. I know the last picture in that series isn't very good, but it appears that the latch isn't connected to the rest of the door handle mechanism. I have yet to have any success in getting the thing that the door handles attach to removed from the rest of the mechanism to get it out of my door.
