Hi,
Looking to get a good set of trekking poles. Would like relatively lightweight but doesn't necessarily need to be carbon fiber. I know that Leki will replace any bent/broken aluminium sections for life but their accessories are a bit pricey. Black Diamond only has a 1 year warranty. It can be a smaller company (ZPacks, Gossamer, Locus Gear CP3, etc) but I want parts to be replaceable at a fair price. Am I correct that grips etc can all be replaced? What are thoughts re: cork vs a good synthetic foam? Carbon fiber vs aluminium? I'd like to be able to use these year round and on most any surface including concrete/asphalt and with or without warm winter gloves. We live in an area with true 4 seasons including quite a bit of snowfall. Will Leki rubber tips (particularly the angled Nordic style) work on other brands? Oh, and will likely want to be able to use these with a shelter setup at some point. And I'm not very tall (in terms of figuring out size needed). Thanks so much in advance!!
PS While I will definitely use these in the winter, I won't be using them for skiing.
