I am widening my closet door and ultimately making a built in closet for my closet. I’ve removed the drywall, have my new Jack studs and header ready to go, but before I knock down the old studs and header around the old closet door, I have questions about what to do with the wood that the old studs sat on.Here is some images that show what I am taking about.
