The floor for my kitchen/dining room is 1/2" plywood, a 5/8" particle board subfloor with laminate on top of that. I recently had a water leak and had to rip up a section of the particle board. I'm considering ripping up all the particle board, putting down 3/4" OSB, 1/4" concrete board, and ceramic tile.My question is can I leave the 5/8" particle board under the cabinets and install the OSB for the rest?
