Have a 7 pin dip socket that will not accept the appropriate ic. The project has two of the same 7 pin ic's (tl074) and one socket works fine and I've put both ic's into it and they both fit, and the other socket i have tried both ic's and neither fit. I've narrowed it down to two or three holes that the pins won't fit into and I'm wondering if there's a way to fix whatever is wrong with it. Visually it looks normal to my novice eye at a glance.
