Before anyone else says it, yes--I know there's no such thing as a BIFL printer. However, I still need one for my job regardless. I'm looking for recommendations on a printer that has the following characteristics:
- Color, duplex printing
- High speed ppm
- Duplex scanning (true duplex--not turning over the page to scan the other side every time)
- Laser preferred over inkjet
Things that don't matter to me: image quality and price (to a certain extent). By way of background, my profession requires me to print large documents (hundreds of pages) every day, mark-up those documents by hand, and then scan and send them back. So long as I can read the words on the page, that's all I really care about in terms of image quality. Obviously, the cheaper the price the better, but anything less than $700 would be fine with me.
FYI I had a Brother printer in the past and absolutely hated it. I had tons of trouble connecting it to my network, and it would regularly drop off and then not reconnect. If I sent something to the printer, there was about a 20% chance it would actually print. Open to pretty much any other brand.
