Hi DIYers,I am trying to install an over the range microwave. It had some challenges like the new mounting bracket was more in length than the previous one and I did not want to cut tile. So I used some plywood where the screws go into drywall/studs to align it. Now I have to drill holes in the top cabinet. The microwave company has a paper template to be attached to mark the holes to be drilled. It has instructions for either recessed or smooth top. Now the problem is if it is recessed they suggest it to be at least 30 inches which mine is not. So I cannot really use that. Now I have tried twice and somehow got the holes wrong on both occasions (I am really having a bad day). So now the third hole might be between these two and I might not have enough space for it. So the question is how do I install this thing and how to replace the wooden block shown on the right in the picture. I know it’s a long post so would rally appreciate any help on this.Edit 1: pic us here pic1One of the holes is from previous microwave the rest two are my deeds. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2AGE9E1
