Okay so my first cycle was from Nov 2 - Dec 4 using 713 kWh for 32 days The second (most recent bill) was for Dec 4 - Jan 5 using a whopping 1999 kWh for 31 days.

I know that it’s been colder but for the usage to have spiked that much? I’m in TN and the cold hadn’t been THAT outrageous IMO.

I’m not home 3-4 out of the week, I keep the temp around 65, and I winterized the home at the end of November. I really don’t understand the sudden increase. I went from paying $105 the first month, which includes a $15 activation fee - so technically $90 for actual energy usage to $219! Wtf.

I took a pic of the meter since I have heard of faulty meters or incorrect reading and it seemed to be moving along fine and wasn’t less than what was written on my bill. But I also noticed it had gone up another 400 kWh since the bill came out on the 4th. Today is the 8th. Another wtf.

This isn’t right. Went around the house trying to figure it out but i can’t. I already do what I can do minimize my bill as it is: use cold water for appliance, turn off power strip, winterize home, turn down thermostat, not even home half the week. It’s driving me crazy and I’m going way over my anticipated budget.

What am I not thinking about??
