I'm sure this has been posted before, but seriously. DO IT! If you are struggling with your credit score watch it closely. I knew I had poor credit, but didn't get serious about fixing it until I wanted a newer vehicle. Jumped into credit karma with a 525 which I had been floating around for years. After getting the app on my phone and monitoring it weekly (pay attention to their recommendations) I jumped to 697 in 18 / months (as of this week). I jumped the first 100 points in the first six months. I could have done it faster had I been smarter too. Credit isn't the great mystery I thought it was. I've always hated the idea of credit because of the strangle hold it outs on life. I always bought outright for things I needed. The harsh reality is you NEED good credit.
Some personal history. Making more money does make increasing your credit easier, but it can be done with a smaller income with smart choices.

Also, to those struggling with mediocre income. Set goals! Short term and long term goals then come up with specific plans to reach them both professionally and personally. That's how I doubled my income over 4 years without a degree. If I can do it so can you. Confidence is key and it is built upon accomplishing those short term goals that will set you up to hit those long term goals. My current goal is to break $75k by 30 (27 yrs old) and $100k by 40. Money doesn't buy happiness, but it does but security and freedom to do the things you want.
Sorry, this turned into more than just a credit karma / credit score watching post.
