I installed a new vanity in our bathroom - this included a solid wood base and a separate marble countertop. I attached the marble counter to the wood with silicone adhesive around the top rim.Long story short, there is a chip in the marble and the vendor is shipping a new one out. Only the counter top, not the wood base. I made some cuts to the interior wood shelf with a multi tool to get the plumbing to fit, so exchanging the entire unit is out of the question. I know I should have never installed the chipped counter but at this point I can't change that. What is the best way to detach the counter without damaging the wood? I was considering a mini hacksaw but not sure if this will be heavy duty enough. Multi tool could also work but one slip and I could make a big mark on the wood, so I'm hoping to avoid power tools. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2CEv0NX
