So my husband and I would like to tile our kitchen. I've never been a big fan of the laminate in our kitchen, so now was as good a time as ever.We tried to start at one end of the kitchen and ran into some serious resistance after getting the baseboards off. The previous owners had used square screws to secure the end of the flooring.Ok, no problem, remove the screws and then the laminate will be able to pop up pretty easily.Nope.The plank are also stapled down. We managed to rip one out and that was when we realised that our kitchen did not have laminate, but hardwood.Oh, and the previous owners were very much engineers. Did a lot of work themselves, which includes all the floors. They also did the cabinets, which are very nice by the way. The cabinets were built and put in after the floor.. And now we are trying to pull that floor up.So my question and need for advice is this, do we need to remove the cabinets and tile everything, or do we cut out the areas of the cabinets and tile around? Here are a few pictures http://ift.tt/2lvgvFb you! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2lnzl1s
