And there was a white wire I didn't understand the use for, and the light is permanently on, regardless of the switch position. The old fluoro tube was wired up with a bundle of 3 red, 3 black and 3 green wires. The reds were all connected to the old fittings live connection, blacks to the N and greens to the earth. There was also a white wire which was connected into a small box of some sort inside the old fitting. There was no place for this white one in the new fitting, so I connected everything else in their places, in the same way they were connected in the old fitting..I put the power back on, and the light turned on - but the switch won't turn it off.I'll send through some photos soon - I'll take off the switch on the wall too if needed, but any ideas here guys? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2D3CKsG
