My "financial advisor" from a well known financial institution has sent me the following email because I haven't had a conversation with him in probably 3 years and manage things on my own. Is this legal or is it all B.S.? "If we are not able to meet and have some specific conversations by the end of the year, then, starting, January 1, your accounts will be locked. I will not be able to help you (with few exceptions). This is due to the fiduciary standards that are in place now. If necessary, you will receive a letter in January explaining the escalation process that concludes with the liquidation of your accounts by the end of 2018. I would rather not see your accounts impacted this way."

Thanks
