I am not some kind of dude who pushes people into investing and appearing like some financial guru. But when i tell my friends and family about the long-term benefits of index investing, it seems like most of them hate listening to it. It's not just that they aren't interested. It's more like they want to actively ignore it. My brother even becomes defensive and a bit insecure to the point that he tells me to focus on my career rather than earning pennys on risky gambles (referring to my investments lol).
I am just trying to help people out. But it's as if people don't want to know more about the smart things they can be doing with their money.
