I'm a long time lurker on r/frugal and a first time poster. I've been wanting a standing desk lately because I hate sitting around all day at work and at home. New, quality adjustable desks retail from $300-500 USD. When putting away my socks today I noticed that my dresser is already the perfect height for me to stand while working on my laptop. So, I pushed my jewelry holder aside, set my laptop down, and voila, a free standing desk! This is one of the perks of being super short, I guess! It had never occurred to me before to use a dresser as a desk, but it was such a convenient and simple solution that ended up saving me hundreds of dollars.
