I have a car loan that i owe about $11.5k on. I have some stocks that i own in various companies. The stocks are down $1500 roughly from when I first bought in but i was originally planning on holding long term and that would work itself out. They are all oil related stocks.
I am wondering if I should cash out some stocks and pay off my car loan, since being rid of the monthly pay of about 500 would relieve a lot of stress. I originally planned to have it paid off in about 8 months by just paying more than my monthly payment and getting it done, but I was considering this idea as well.
Thanks,
Edit: i live in Alberta, Canada.
