Suppose every time you bought or sold shares of a particular stock, you had to pay a $20 commission. This stock, as every other stock, fluctuates up and down very often but marginally.

So here's my question. If you had software that could buy and sell stocks automatically throughout the day, would it be profitable to make it buy and sell shares every time the price went up or down slightly as long as the gross profit would be more than the $20 commission?
