I know there might be only like 100 people in this entire subreddit that can relate to this. But for the 1% of the 1% who can and are in a similar position I know what you're going through. Every since I graduated highschool I started working 70hrs a week at my Fathers company and I was only 17. My life consisted of waking up, working going home to sleep and repeat since I was working 13 hour days. I chose this route because I learned from a very young age about business and investing. And to spare you all the details throughout all of highschool I spent my time reading and studying and forming hundreds of plans for my future, my life was written down on many sheets of paper. I did this because the dreams I wanted to achieve were too big that no job could offer it. Very rarely do you meet someone who says at the age of 13 that they will be a billionaire someday. In fact I can bet you you've probably never met a single person in your life with that aspiration. It's not for the weak hearted that's for sure.. So at the age of 17 I worked my ass off grinding the hours to save my first 50k while still living with my parents which helped a lot since I didn't have to pay rent or too many expenses etc. What I did with that 50k is the suddle difference between being a sheep and looking rich vrs becoming a self made millionaire. I invested all of it into a 14 unit C class apartment complex. Age 18 I had a gross worth of 1M and my portfolio was only going to grow. Current day I'm still 18 and I'm looking to invest in my next project being 28 units. It's important to note my Father is a self made millionaire and I could be considered "2nd generation" which I am, since we both have agreed we want to start a dynasty that will live on for generations hopfully. But I wasn't given anything for free. I worked at my Dads company fulltime over the summer and after schools starting when I was 13 in a machine shop starting on the broom. I was clean up boy for 2 years straight, then went through every department bottom up. I'm currently a CNC Machinist and I'm still working 70 hours a week and investing everything I have into real estate and bonds. I will have a billion in assets by age 50, all it takes is a mentor and a lot of self disciple and praise and glory goes to God. I know my purpose in life and God's will for me is to be a philanthropist and help the church and Christian organizations and to spread the word of God and bring followers to Christ. Through Jesus I'm able to be blessed with the entrepreneurial and leadership spirit. This road is for very few people in the world, less than 10,000 out of 7 billion people but I'm speaking to the few that have the same aspirations, find a mentor and start reading and educating yourself, you don't need college. You just need a strong dream and a very detailed plan. Grind the hours for startup capital at any job and start making your money work for you. It is very lonely at the top. So lonely that I'm having to post here to get this off my mind. I don't know a single other soul that is like me with the same aspirations and dedication and have never met one in my life. That's how lonely it is, so if any young entrepreneurs are reading this, don't give up, and don't pitty the sheep they are there for a reason. Keep your eye on your dream and stay motivated.
