My fiance and I have to get to Florida and my fiance won't fly. We also don't have driver's licenses - we are working on this. We have done a coach train trip once from ny to florida and to be honest, it sucked - we are both pretty tall. A roommette round trip for both of us would be about $1400, pretty steep.
I've read starline is a better alternative to greyhound, many less hours.
I've also read I can get a megabus from atlanta to disney for super cheap.

But i am wondering if there are other hacks I dont know about. I have new credit cards, so I dont want to apply for the amtrak credit card, but i'm wondering if i could use my cap1 spark miles to buy a gift card that could translate to amtrak....EDIT: just found out that amtrak has no gift cards, only vouchers.
any tips at all besides starline, greyhound or amtrak (maybe a boat?) or any tips on how to converts many cap1 spark miles (which can be redeemed for gift cards) to amtrak? they don't offer amtrak as a gift card redemption option but i've asked them to consider it. i know this part may be a question for r churning but my posts in general usually get rejected there....any tips appreciated...
