Quick overview, my girlfriend and I are finally at a very stable place in our lives. We've been together about 10 years (not planning on getting married or having kids) and have both recently moved up in our respective positions.
We have never had a long term saving plan / goal before and have kind of just been coasting for the last few years but we'd like to change that. Currently were making about $110,000 per year (a little extra here and there for side work) and we do not have any large bills outside of rent ($1950 per month, gotta love California) but are looking to purchase a car sometime mid-next year.
Honestly, I do not even know where to begin, I'm currently making a list of all of our bills to get a really solid number of expenses together but after that I'm just drawing a blank. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
