So I've got a wall about 224 inches long, and my intention is to attache a row of bookcases of varying heights to 94 of those inches. The bookcases are Ikea BILLY, they are comprised of:2x 31.5" x 79.5"1x 15.75" x 79.5"2x 31.5" x 41.75"1x 15.75" x 79.5"2x 31.5" x 79.5"All of the tall bookcases will have a extender up top that adds another 13.75" of height, that puts it about a inch or two below the top of the ceiling.I know I have to remove the baseboard before I go any further, there's a piece of quarter-round attached to it from when the hardwood floor was put in, and the baseboard itself is a lot taller than conventional trim. That shouldn't be a problem that a prybar can't solve. What I'm a little light on is the best way to attach these to the wall. I tested the wall out with a 4ft level, and there's definitely some wave there (house built in 1990). I have the top brackets from Ikea which I'm absolutely intending on using, but how do I get the shims in there to level all these out? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ADKHnA
