Basically they had problems, got bought out, bankrupt in '13 and working on turning that all around now. #'s slowly improving in the last couple years.
They have brand recognition. No matter where you go- a restaurant, movie theater, office building- ask everyone in the room and they will know the name.
I refer to Atari as a startup with a legacy.
They are getting somewhat close to a claimed release of a new console. They are going to crowdsource to limit risk.
Retro gaming has been huge recently. A lot of people that grew up 30-40 years ago now have kids and disposable income.
Nostalgia drives purchases- Barrett Jackson and Mecum made empires off of it.
I'm in for this ride. Cheap enough to eat it if I am wrong.
I would be happy to hear everyone's thoughts on it.
