I had a pair of Clarks that I loved... kinda like a desert boot, but it laced up higher. Clarks’ soles last me a year, tops (even rotating), so I’m done with them after 6-7 pairs. have I like leather soles. I have a pair of Frye’s James that I’ve had resoled once with great success. Looking for something more casual. Suggestions?
Looking around, I like the style of Thursday’s President. I wouldn’t hate a wider toe box, but not a deal breaker, as they usually stretch. I recently bought a pair of Timberland’s Wodehouse Chukkas, and absolutely adore the style. Those are almost too formal, but maybe that would help understand the look I like (hate toe caps).
