So on 10/06 we paid off our car through Chase and they sent us the info to get the title. We have since got the title yet our bank (Vantage credit union) has not taken the $4500 out of our account and we have called them to see if they show it pending and they do not. They said something about a large payment having an extra digit at the end of the account (something I've never heard of) and stated they show nothing pending. I really assumed the payment would've been taken out by now but it seems like at this point it may not happen.
So a few questions, what are the odds it came out of someone else's account (highly unlikely we had been using auto pay and used that account to pay it off) or that it will never come out (also seems unlikely). I just don't know what to do at this point or if I should just keep the money in my checkings account for another month hoping it comes out. Just looking for any advice or if this is something I should worry about.
