I’m a newbie DIYer but I had a little help on this project. I built an outdoor bar in an L shape using 2x4 to frame. I used 11/32” plywood as the bar top support. I cut, sanded and stained different pieces of pallet wood to form the top. I pieced those together to creat the rows and used wood glue to attach to the plywood. I used oak corner molding that I stained for the edges and secured with wood glue and finishing nails. I them secured the top to the frame with 2 1/2” deck screws into the 2x4s. Once it was in place I finished with 4 coats of marine spar varnish. I completed on a Tuesday and on Thursday we got rain. By Friday evening the top was bowing up along the long side, by Saturday the short side was also bowing. It turns out it is the plywood underneath that is bowing up. By 1 week later my pallet wood pieces are coming unglued, the bowing has caused my corner molding to crack, it’s basically a mess. The frame is still solid and I can use but I want to rebuild the top in the same style. I’m just not sure what to do so I don’t end up with the same result. The person that helped me and where I got my advise for build has no idea why this happened. I get that basically it’s because the water was able to get to the plywood but how do I remake and prevent this.Help!!![bar photos](http://ift.tt/2i8e9hm) via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2gAOLgM
