I have a house that is blockwork construction, exterior clad in brick with a cavity in the middle. I’m in the process of building a “fake” chimney breast because I thought it would look pretty dope. So I’m building a stud wall out, and I decided that in order to make the recess as big as possible, I’d remove some of the blockwork behind the hole. This seemed like a solid plan, but now that I’ve gone and done it I’m seriously wondering whether this was such a smart move.I’m thinking of installing some sheet concrete around the hole, would this be sufficient? I was going to go straight with plasterboard but I’m worried about moisture now! Here are some photos of what I’m working with:http://ift.tt/2ygr6fq know I could have fucked up here and I’m asking what I can do to remedy the situation if it needs remedying before I continue with the rest of the project.Cheers! via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2ylSmZL
