Hey there,
My partner (Korean) did a 1 year holiday in Canada two years ago.
Everything was legal and all her work was on the books.
She paid all her tax as expected, and then she got a tax rebate after they reassessed it. This is for tax year 2016.
We just received a genuine email from CRA saying they changed their policies and now we owe them 300 Canadian dollars.
Why do we owe dollars if you changed your policies AFTER a whole one more tax year?
They said we if don't pay we will accrue interest.
What's going on here?
