I'm a 28, almost 29, year old female and as the title states, I don't really have anyone who would probably be around by the time I pass. I'm also childfree and single.
All I have is my sick mother, her equally unhealthy sister and a grandmother who is pushing 80. I don't foresee the single part changing, either. Very socially inept.
I'm considering just getting a funeral insurance thingy instead since I just don't really want my death to be a burden to whoever has to deal with it.
Is there a better way to set aside money for final expenses? I don't have any debts or expenses other than rent and groceries.
If in the event I pass away and have this policy, who exactly receives the funds? The state? Would they even follow my wishes or just pocket the money and spend the minimum?
