I've read the sidebar thread, and it has many great suggestions, but I'm specifically interested in the durability of wheels. I've had "bad luck" with my previous luggage cases while rolling them through parks. The wheels were rather weak and got deformed after being heated by friction, while rolling through dirt.
I know that the issue can be solved by just carrying the luggage myself, in a duffelbag, for instance, but I should point out that if I could haul it myself I wouldn't be asking this question.
