Please help me understand this a bit more because I think they tried to rip me off.
I just walked away from a 2017 Honda Accord CVT Hybrid that was advertised for 229 per month (before taxes) and $2,699 down.
After taxes and fee's, I expected a payment of $260- $270 However my dealership wanted $303 and I couldn't get a clear answer to why.
What dealership offered: http://ift.tt/2xn5HRT
(I wrote in blue what Honda offers on their hondafinancialservices website which I also pasted the fine print below (http://ift.tt/2eNoZV7)
-
Dealership is adding 595$ acquisition fee, even though the Honda terms say that's included in the price. I need clarification on this - does the Net Cap cost includes the $595 fee in itself, or does it include an extra $595 fee?
-
Dealership is also charging almost $3000 more for cap cost ($25,385) vs Honda's advertised ($22,651.49)
-
But the bottom line is the total lease payments of $9,964.44 vs Honda's advertised $8,244
I'm trading a 99 Honda accord for $300 - Which is fine. It's a car that's been sitting around for years and looks like crap.
The fine print from Honda:
