Hi! So I have 3 marketing job offers in NYC and I am trying to figure out how I can negotiate. I am currently making $52k. Here's the situation:
- First Choice job: $60k salary, 401k, full medical benefits, stock options after 3 months, 20 days PTO/5 sick/3 personal days/8 holidays. This job is exactly what I have experience in and I genuinely enjoyed my interview process and the people I met.
- Second Choice job: 57k salary, 401k, full medical benefits, unlimited PTO, room for growth. This job is also exactly aligned with my experience, but the atmosphere when I interviewed was very "corporate" and I didn't really feel excited about it. It would be a "nice" job but I don't know, I just didn't feel a spark like I did with jobs 1 and 3.
- Third Choice job: 55k, full medical benefits, 15 days PTO. I really want this job based on how amazing it would look on my resume (its a major media company), but obviously it's the least amount of pay here so that's why it's the third.
What should I do here? My range was $60-65k, so I'm actually content with my $60k offer from Job #1. Should I try to negotiate with the other two so I can go back to #1 with negotiating chips? I DO NOT want to lose Job #1's offer, which is why I am even hesitant to try. But.. should I try to maybe get an extra $2-3k out of them? Is it even worth it?
In my first job after college, I negotiated a $10k raise but I defffff don't feel like I can do that with Job #1. My previous negotiations were always a little ballsy because I wasn't afraid to lose the offer, but now my circumstances are different.
Thank you for your help! :)
