I drive as frugally as I can. With my Honda Fit I average about 5.3 L. / 100 km., including the very long winter here in Canada. In the summer months, I average 4.7 to 4.8 L. / 100 km. For my last two tanks, I was able to get down to 4.4 L. / 100 km. simply by turning off the engine at traffic lights.
My question is: is it worth it? Do you think I save enough money and engine wear to compensate for the starter shorter life and the trouble to change it if its breaks ?
