My mom has never been good with money, and ever since my dad passed away 4 years ago it's been even worse. I moved out of the house the night I graduated because I needed to make a life for myself and it just wasn't going to happen there. I was 18 then, I am 19 now. Yesterday I got a call from her saying that her house is being foreclosed on and the only way to save it is $4300 which she does not have. She asked me to take out a loan for $4000 to help her out. She brings in over $5,000 a month and I believe her house payment is somewhere around $700. She admitted to me, kind of, that the reason she hasn't been making her payments is because she has been buying my brother whatever he wants, and also supporting her boyfriends drug habits. Like I said, I am only 19, I have rent, utilities, phone bill, and credit card payments and barely bringing in $800 a month. I want to help my mom out because obviously I don't want her and my brother to end up homeless and on the streets, but also I'm worried that if I do take out this loan for her she won't pay me back and I'll be stuck with the payments, which I absolutely cannot afford. She has also used up all of her resources like her dad, my dads mom, my dads brother, and her sister. None of them want to help her anymore because this is like a once a year thing. Given, it's never been this bad, but still I don't think any one of them will try to help her out. So I am honestly not sure what to do. I do not want them to be homeless.
